My message for today

We have to embrace what we have with all our heart and soul. Commit ourselves to our personal goals and achieve them.

No time to procrastinate but to evolve into the very goal we have set out.

We shall approach life with vigor and overcome the obstacles that will come our way.

Treat all humanity with dignity, respect and unconditional love and acceptance

At Groote Schuur Hospital

Today I am at Groote Schuur  Hospital to have a stomach scope done. After waiting almost 6 months finally I have an appointment and the doctor that saw me was informative and informed me that I he was going to perform the procedure today.

the interesting factor is that for years I have been a heavy smoker and only ate once a day and of course now that I don’t smoke and its been a year I put on more than 20kgs in the past few months.

He told me that the body go’s into starve mode when you only eat one a day and hence the body stores more fat instead of burning it.

So this one fundamental factor of eating once a day only can induce such a event of fat is interesting as no one has ever told me that.

I have worked at many day hospitals doing VCT and not even the doctors I have seen in the past have informed me of the fat build up and weight gain.

So after I have scope done I will give a full report back on how it went and the findings.

He also said due to the fat gain and this not due to the meds and not due to the low sugar and blood pressure.

I will report back shortly – o yes before I forget it could be a hernia lets see what happens and I can only hope from the best.

Heritage Day Humbug 2013

Its been some time since we as South Africans have moved into the new dispensation of equality for all.

But alas that is not true, yes indeed we have the most unique bill of rights and constitution but what does that mean for the minority of South Africans.

White South Africans are still paying the price after government has been in power.

Why must the children pay the price for the sins of the fathers taken into context of course.

Those of us who did not support apartheid are too paying the price.

White South Africans as a collective have been put into one kraal and labeled you shall pay for the consequences of your past actions no matter if you are innocent or guilty just by association of your race you are penalized for your forefathers actions.

I find this unacceptable as many young South Africans too,  whether they are white, black,Indian ect.

I have worked all my life but yet, I cant benefit from companies offering shares based on black empowerment since I am classified as privileged.

After all these years, young white South Africans still bare the brunt of post apartheid rhetoric

Corruption by high level government officials is now the norm of the day.

Police committing crimes against citizens what is coming next?

I have worked for over 33 years now and this year I am 49 and I will be working for another 20 years to come.

we have lesser freedom now than what we have had before (please take this into context)

We have had to double gate our flat and put on an extra locks after we where burgled and that was through the first set of locks we had. In our same building we had a blind lady and her guide dog attacked but the community came to the rescue.

Since then we have electric fencing.

People getting hi jacked from their cars.

It reminds me of a South African who went to Canada and the diplomatic fallout because of the claims he made. But………….some where bizarre, but many are spot on.

When will this all end and how is it  going to end…..

All I want to do is work and build a future in a country where you don’t have to lock yourself in ect.
